What it is
A portfolio site I designed and built for Parrie Chhajed, a fashion designer and writer. The work is conceptual and sustainability-driven, so the site had to feel like part of the design language — not just a gallery of images.
The brief
Let the collections carry the site. Each one has its own concept and material story, and the experience needed to give them room to breathe while still feeling like one cohesive body of work.
What’s on it
- The collections — distinct bodies of work, each with its own concept, palette, and material story, presented as individual chapters.
- The designer — the point of view behind the work: sustainable fashion, textile innovation, and natural processes.
- A considered reading experience that treats a fashion portfolio as an editorial piece, not a grid.
How I built it
- React + Vite + Tailwind CSS as the foundation.
- Framer Motion and GSAP for motion that reveals the work deliberately — pacing the scroll so each collection lands.
- Built mobile-first, with the motion tuned to stay smooth on a phone.
